The image below shows the speeds I was able to get these consistently whilst connected the the BTGuard servers in Germany. Set up was very simple indeed and only took about 30 seconds. The above graph displays service status activity for Btguard.com over the last 10 automatic checks. The blue bar displays the response time, which is better when smaller. If no bar is displayed for a specific time it means that the service was down and the site was offline. BTGuard, however, offers a little more speed with its PPTP and Open VPN connections, depending on your needs. On the other hand, Hotspot Shield provides an opportunity to choose among hundreds of encrypted IP addresses from more than 30 countries, while BTGuard has its main locations in Canada, Netherlands, and Singapore.
