Jul 05, 2017 [Fix] DNS Server isn't responding Error Windows 7/8/10 To change to Open DNS Windows 10: Preferred DNS server: 208.67.222.222. Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.220. Check if the problem resolves. Also, note that depending on your location, changing the DNS server address manually can slow your internet connection. Manually Enter the MAC Address. I'm having trouble with trying to join my client computer to the server domain. My client is Windows 7 Professional and the server domain OS is Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. I tried the usual method of going to System-Change Settings-Change-and entering the domain name to join. However, I get the message saying: Cannot access \\server - Windows 10 Forums
